Creating a new product with combinations
Combinations are used to manage variants of the same product, i.e. different versions of a single product that share the same file but change according to certain options (such as size, colour, weight, etc.).
What are the practical uses of the combinations?
♦️Offering several options on a single product sheet, such as
A T-shirt available in different sizes: S, M, L, XL
A smartphone in various colors: black, silver, blue
All combinations are visible on the same product page, with interactive selections (drop down menu, color button…).
📦Managing stock individually - each combination has
Its own stock
Its own reference
Its own price and weight
💲Setting a price per combination, such as
A product size XL could be 2€ more that the same product size XS
🖼️ Displaying images specific to the combination
To improve the customer experience, you can associate the image corresponding to the combination - example the image of a blue tshirt on the blue combination of the tshirt.
🤩 Offering a seamless shopping experience
With all combinations on the same product page, the customer can see all possibilities for that product. It’s clear, ergonomic and can increase conversions.
🛒 Simplifying the catalog
Without combination, you’d need to have a product per color and per size. For example Blue TShirt Size S, Blue TShirt Size M, etc.
With combinations, all options are under the same product.
Creating a product with combinations
With Store Commander and it’s panel dedicated to combinations, you can add combinations to products in a simple manner. Watch the below tutorial to find out how.
Adding another product’s combinations
Whenever you add new products to your catalog and you want to use existing combinations, no need to go through the process of recreating them on each product.
Store Commander will save you precious time with its copy/paste option, enabling you to add combinations of an existing product to your new products in just a few clicks!
This option is by default in the References view and is called Combinations (copy/paste).
The information in the cell correspond to all combinations of that product.

You can right click the cell > Copy - to copy all combinations of that product, and another right click > Paste but this time on the target product(s) - to add the copied combinations.
And you’ re done!

Completing your combinations
You can then enter all the different information about your products: reference, ean13, price, stock, images, etc.
