Managing downloadable products

Introduction

Downloadable products on a PrestaShop store are used to sell digital goods that customers can download directly after purchase. Here are some examples of what these products can include:

Software and Applications: Computer programs, mobile applications, or plugins that users can install on their devices.

Ebooks and Guides: Electronic books, manuals, practical guides, or any other type of digital documentation.

Music and Audio: Audio files, music, podcasts, or audiobooks.

Videos and Films: Video files, movies, video tutorials, or online courses.

Images and Graphics: Photographs, illustrations, icons, or any other type of visual content.

Templates and Themes: Templates for specific software (such as website templates, themes for CMS, etc.).

Documents and Files: Any type of digital file such as PDFs, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.

Downloadable products allow merchants to sell intangible goods without having to manage physical inventory or shipping, which can significantly simplify logistics and reduce costs associated with selling physical products.

Add and manage your downloadable products

Downloadable products are managed in the panel of the same name in the Properties column, right handside.

You can add, remove, and even replace any downloadable product in the panel, using all the corresponding icons in the toolbar.
